Promoting Entrepreneurship and Financial Independence

AHF Sri Lanka supports persons with disabilities, widows, and women-headed households by helping them establish grocery shops and other small home-based businesses. Beneficiaries receive business start-up assistance that enables them to generate sustainable income while working within their own communities.

Home-based enterprises provide greater accessibility for individuals who face mobility challenges or family caregiving responsibilities, allowing them to earn a stable livelihood without leaving their homes. These businesses strengthen household income, reduce dependency on external assistance, and promote long-term self-reliance.

Through entrepreneurship and community-based economic opportunities, the project advances AHF Sri Lanka's mission of empowering vulnerable communities, fostering social inclusion, and building resilient livelihoods that contribute to sustainable development.
