Persons with disabilities often face additional barriers in accessing safe and suitable housing. Many live in homes that are not designed to accommodate wheelchairs, mobility aids, or other accessibility needs, making daily activities difficult and reducing their independence. Al-Hikma Foundation believes that every individual deserves to live in a home that supports their dignity, safety, and inclusion.

Our Houses for Persons with Disabilities Project constructs accessible homes with features such as ramps, wider entrances, accessible toilets, handrails, and user-friendly layouts that improve mobility and daily living. Each house is designed according to the specific needs of the beneficiary, ensuring that the living environment promotes comfort, safety, and independence.

This project goes beyond construction by restoring confidence and improving quality of life. Accessible housing enables beneficiaries to participate more actively in family and community life while reducing the physical and emotional burden on caregivers. Through this initiative, we empower persons with disabilities to live with greater independence, dignity, and equal opportunities.
